The Obstruction lighting delivered by ICS is a fully engineered ,Obstruction lighting, control systems, and components from three main manufacturers: Flight Light, OBSTA, and SPX/Avlite/ITL. The documents detail a range of products from low-intensity steady-burning lights to medium-intensity flashing systems, with a strong emphasis on LED technology, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatibility, and compliance with international standards like FAA and ICAO.

Overview of Products by Manufacturer

The products are broadly organized into the portfolios of three companies, each with a focus on different parts of the obstruction lighting solution:

  • Flight Light / SPX Flash Technology: Focuses on complete systems and high-power, medium-intensity lights.
    • FTS 350i-2 Wind Turbine Lighting System: A fully integrated Medium Intensity Red LED light (FAA L-864 / ICAO Type B). It features 25kA surge immunity, GPS for synchronized flashing, and an integrated system with no external controller, designed specifically for wind turbines.
    • FTS 371 SMART (SPX): A versatile red lighting system meeting multiple FAA standards (L-810/L-864/L-885). It uses a patent-pending current feedback monitoring technology for accurate results and supports Modbus RTU Serial RS-485 and up to 8 markers.
    • L-810 LED Night Vision Compatible: A steady-burning red obstruction light (L-810/LIOL Type B) that incorporates IR 860 nm peak intensity to ensure visibility for pilots using NVG.
  • OBSTA: Offers a complete range of low to medium intensity lights, controllers, and specialized photocells.
    • OFD-RW-240 (Medium Intensity): A Dual Color (White/Red) flashhead compliant with ICAO Type A and B. It is NVG compatible, featuring built-in GPS and a photocensor, with communication capabilities (TCP Modbus).
    • OFC-CTR-240: A Monitoring and control box that supports up to 8 medium intensity lights, includes individual and power supply alarms, surge protection, and a remote/manual switch to bypass the photocell.
    • PHOTOCELL DC (P/N: 100757): A calibrated ambient sensor for twilight-night intensity change (ICAO and FAA compliant) with two output signals available for night and twilight modes.
