The standard features of the FTS 371 Smart Vanguard® Medium Intensity Red LED Aviation Obstruction Lighting System are:
- Flash rate of 20, 30, 40 or 60 flashes per minute (200 ms flash duration). Only 30 fpm flash rate is applicable for FAA certified applications filed under AC 70/7460-1M.
- Red and infrared (IR) LEDs for compliance with FAA AC150/5345-43J and low power consumption.
- Mode override switch.
- Photodiode control with alarm inhibit option.
- Modbus RTU Serial RS-485.
- 4 dry contact relays (PHD, BCN and MKR alarms, MODE status relay).
- Support for up to 8 markers and 1 beacon.
- Sync input/output interconnects multiple boards for sync without GPS.
- 5-year warranty.
System options include:
- Negative 24-48VDC $\pm$10% (isolated DC power supply).
- GPS synchronization.

The OFC-CTR-240 Monitoring and Control Box features a stainless steel enclosure and cable inputs via nickel-plated brass glands. It includes 8 terminal connections for up to 8 lights, surge protection, and individual alarms (normally closed and normally open) and visual indicators for each light or group, as well as connections for an optional photocell with its own alarm.
PHOTOCELL DC
a plug-in modular construction with plated contact surfaces and can be rotated on its base. It automatically controls red or dual obstruction lighting based on ambient light, compliant with FAA and ICAO twilight/night triggering levels, and includes a timer to prevent inopportune functioning, plus a bracket and 40cm of molded cable for installation.
